Our story
We are the Babamba family of Okene.
The Babamba family traces its roots to Okene, the ancestral home of the Ebira people in Kogi State, Nigeria. For four generations, our family has grown from a single household on the hills of Okene into a wide network of professionals, farmers, traders, teachers and students across Nigeria and beyond.
We are proudly Ebira — a people known for hard work, community, and a deep respect for elders. Our language, our food, our masquerades, and our reverence for kinship are the inheritance we protect for the next generation.
